Noah’s Ark - Fact not Fiction

[The Author of this web site, Ray Anderson, passed away on November 6, 2006.  Thank you for your continuing support of his lifelong efforts to find the Ark. We encourage you to leave comments in the guestbook.]

My name is Ray Anderson and I've been engaged in the Ark search for about 32 years. Became hooked when I saw Violet Cummings book, Noah's Ark-Fact or Fable in a book store and purchased a copy out of idle curiosity. Violet's husband, Eryl, actually took the picture that my story revolves around but he gave a copy of the slide to Dr. Lawrence Hewitt, who in turn gave it to me. My first two trips to Ararat were with Dr. Hewitt who had made about six or seven searches on the mountain before I met him.

I read Violet's book and became an instant "Arkeologist". Have been to Ararat seven times with various groups, but am probably now too old for another try at 88. Thought I would put together some of my accumulated material and pictures, with special tribute to Ed. I know if he's looking down on us, he's probably saying in frustration, "Come on guys, I told you where it is. Someone go dig it out!"

Ed Davis

This site really began with my visit in 1990 with Ed Davis at his home in Albuquerque, NM. Sgt. Ed Davis was stationed in Iran, near the Turkish border during WW2, and had a remarkable experience in the summer of 1943.  This site now records his story as told to me during the day long visit with him. I continued my friendship with Ed until his death in 1998. During many telephone visits through the years, Ed never deviated from what he told me during that 1990 visit.  At the request of other Ark searchers, Ed took two lie detector tests administered by a former police examiner and passed each easily.
